NT musos encouraged to apply for coveted BASSINTHEGRASS sets

Territory musos looking for their big break can apply to take to the stage and perform at BASSINTHEGRASS 2023 on May 20.

Winners of the Territory Artists Competition will have the opportunity to play to a packed crowd at BASS’s iconic Mindil Beach location, next to some of Australia’s biggest acts.

Winners of the last two Territory Artists Competition were Phoebe Olivia and MSON in 2022, and Casii Williams and DRAFTDAY in 2021.

“I was really excited to win. I’ve grown up in Darwin my whole life and performing at BASSINTHEGRASS has always been on my bucket list. The Territory Artists Competition is such a cool opportunity for artists. Darwin is small, so it’s great for artists to have the chance to perform as part of this amazing festival line-up,” said 2022 winner Phoebe Olivia.

Two 20-minute sets are up for grabs. Applicants are required to submit an application online including a bio, link to online content, and a video of a live performance of at least two songs.

Applications close at 5pm on Monday, 3 April, 2023, with winners announced on 12 April. For more information visit https://bassinthegrass.com.au/about/territory-artist-applications/ .
